Homegroups

Why be part of a home group?

In Mountsandel Christian Fellowship, we realise church is more than the large family gatherings on Sunday morning. Church is people, and relationships are at the heart of Christianity. That is why in order to mature in our relationship with God we need to commit to genuine relationships with each other. Home Groups are the ideal place for this to happen as they allow us to know and be known in a smaller group of people.

Home Groups are there to help us live out what it means to love God and love each other. They are where people are cared for pastorally. As we each connect in a Home Group we have the opportunity to encourage each other to fulfil the Great Commission and see many of our friends, family members, work colleagues and neighbours come to know Jesus as their saviour and friend.

What happens in a Home Group?

Think of it as a weekly gathering of friends who are looking to deepen their relationship with God through sharing their life experiences, studying the scriptures, caring and praying for one another, discussing what it means to be a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and learning how to make it real in our daily lives.

Who can attend?

MCF Home Groups are open to anyone wanting to get connected in a real community. We suggest that you try out the different groups to see what one suits you the most. Once you find a Home Group you want to stay with you are invited to become a member, taking an active role in the life and growth of that Home Group.
